Bitcoin sits at $83,337 with funding evenly matched across both venues and a skew that barely registers. The sharper read lives in the options book: implied vol runs rich on both majors, pricing more movement than the tape has actually handed over.
| Asset | Funding (blended) | 25Δ skew | Implied / realized vol | Open interest |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| BTC | +10% (HL +11 / OKX +10) | +0.4 | 38.4 / 31.7 | $3.20B |
| ETH | +1% (HL +1 / OKX +1) | -2.3 | 51.8 / 41.4 | $2.69B |
| SOL | +8% (HL +11 / OKX +6) | n/a | n/a / 53.6 | $0.62B |
Funding annualized; negative means shorts pay longs. 25Δ risk reversal in vol points; negative means downside hedged. Snapshots, not positions.
Funding is balanced everywhere this morning. BTC blends to +10.5% with Hyperliquid and OKX inside a point of each other, and ETH's +0.9% is close to flat, so neither crowd is leaning hard. The tension is in vol. BTC implied runs 6.7 points over realized and ETH implied runs 10.4 points over, meaning the market is paying up for optionality on both while the recent tape has been calmer. ETH's skew at -2.3 shows the downside tail getting the bid, BTC's +0.4 skew is essentially neutral.
Kalshi has BTC holding above $80,000 at 100%, dead-on fair value with no gap to options.
Both majors have options pricing more movement than the tape delivered, so the question into the open is whether realized vol catches up to what buyers are paying for or the premium bleeds. Funding gives no directional tell. Watch ETH's bid for downside protection.
